Community Media Access Collaborative
Awards
Darden Architects’ relationship with the Community Media Access Collaborative began in 2011. This Community Benefit Organization had taken residence in the 2nd and 3rd floors of what was originally the historic Fresno Metropolitan Museum of Art and Science. This interior design project was completed in two phases. The first phase included the conversion of the central museum space into a comprehensive video production and recording studio, remodel of the main reception area, and addition of classroom/conference space. The second phase, completed in 2014, responded to the space needs of this growing organization. Office spaces for full-time staff members and a main Board meeting room/classroom mean better privacy and the ability to cater to a multitude of simultaneous uses. Darden Architects Interior Design department retains a consultative relationship with this important community resource.
