Today’s event was a long time coming. Darden Architects was excited to attend the ribbon cutting and “official” grand opening of the new Sanger West High School Phase 1. A large group of District, school and community leadership gathered to commemorate the completion of the first phase of construction of the new Sanger Educational Center in Sanger Unified School District.
Our firm has been working with the District for over a decade leading up to this event and will continue to support them through the continued development of the Site. The Speakers at the event included Deputy District Superintendent Eduardo Martinez, Superintendent Adela Jones, Sanger USD School Board President G. Brandon Vang, Sanger West HS Deputy Principal Sam Polanco, Fresno City Council President Luis Chavez, and even Mayor Jerry Dyer!
The title of the event was “Imagine the Possibilities” and it was particularly inspiring hearing the way the speakers talked about how the new school would provided new and outstanding educational opportunities in the district. This excitement was heightened by looking to the east and north at the remainder of the site yet to be built. This project will continue to grow and change over the years to come and we are honored to be a part of that.
